Memory's Shimmers
Whirlwind flurries of fate's fervor
dance, ever delighting in the spite
of might's solemn soulful promises
tenderly wrapped in memory's shimmers.
Recollections of stone cracked cobbles
feet finding cadence without notice
in the crooks and shallows of lips
memorized,mesmerized in tender touch.
Bazaar aromas entwining with skin's
soft subtle glows teased to appease
hunger's growling, gentle demands
of smiles and denial's waning succor.
Distance aches in the dusky hues
subdued in willful wonder's askance
as the shadows caress light's waning
I wander in wonder waking just to dream.
