Spring Fever

This time of the year here it is hard to stay indoors and concentrate. The weather is magnificent during the day and carries just enough of a chill at night to make you want to snuggle up close to the one you love. The world is waking once more as signaled by the bright colorful displays of the jonquils, dogwoods, and azaleas. The birds flit to and fro once more and best of all the mosquitoes and other pesky insects haven't arrived yet.

Leaving work for lunch is a risky affair, because the force of will it requires to return is no small feat for even the most miserly of souls. Spring is in the air and I am ready to be out playing. These are perfect days to be strolling hand in hand through the historical districts of towns like Wilmington, NC where the Azaleas are mature and plentiful or sitting in open air cafes enjoying the sun and chatting about whatever tumbles out.

Spring is here...and I have the fever. Forget a doctor, just send me my love and let's go walking. A nice afternoon picnic in the park complete with big smiles and sloppy kisses and I will be in heaven.
